- Here Comes Science is absolutely brilliant. I feel brilliant after listening to it. I know I'm not, but for those few minutes, I'm brilliant. This is a children's DVD/CD from the musical group, They Might Be Giants. The songs are extremely catchy and filled with an abundance of scientific knowledge. I really enjoy the entire CD/DVD but my faves are: Meet the Elements and I am a Pathologist. I'm very impressed with both the CD and DVD. If you don't have it then you need it.
- Family Time is such a beautiful and heartfelt children's CD. I've been a fan of Ziggy( Bob Marley son) since he was with the Melody Makers. When he went solo, I kinda lost sight of what type of music he was making. Thankfully, we've reconnected with his latest ( actually 2009.... I'm always late.) endeavor, Family Time. Family Time is a children's CD that adults alike can appreciate and enjoy. I love all of the songs on his CD, but if I had to pick two faves it would be: Family Time and I Love You, too....okay, just one more, Future Man, Future Lady. Seriously, his entire CD is amazing. Love it.
I hope you enjoy these two gems as much as we do! What are you listening to lately?

Thanks for the recommendations. I enjoy TMBG. The only kids music (commercial) I can stand is Backyardigans and that is pushing it. We listen to Smithsonian Folkways cd, Leadbelly, Sweet Honey in the Rock and appropriate "adult" music. The point of KidsBop has always eluded me.

Oh, the Backyardigans....you are a better mom than I am because I just can't stand those songs. If I'm forced to listen to 'kiddie' music I can rock out to some Yo Gabba Gabba. Thanks for the suggestion on music. I've only heard of Leadbelly so I'm excited to give a listen to other groups you mentioned.
Thanks again for stopping by. blessings.
